So on Sunday I upgraded from a 200 litre to 350 litre aquarium. I had 2 oscars but have since rehomed 1.

I was looking for possible tank mates for the remaining oscar and came across the Raphael catfish. Would an Oscar plus the cat be too much in a 350 litre aquarium?

Assuming you have good filtration, I think you would be okay. The two fish wouldn't really come into contact with each other. I would certainly recommend a nice big plant pot for the catfish to make its home

I may not always be right, but I am always the BOSS :-)

great.

I'm still undecided on what to do in regards to filtration. I was going to punt for the fx6 but they are a little out of my budget.

I think I'll stick with the efx 300 and also add the fluval 406 as theres one on Amazon for £110.

I've also got a uv steriliser in the tank but not sure if there is any point to me keeping this.

Quick question.

I've had a spotted Raphael in my tank now for just over a week. The temp is 27 degrees but looking at articles online, the max temp for the spotted Raphael is 26 degrees. The catfish looks happy and makes a daytime appearance now and again when he oscar is having food.

Will the higher tank temp do any harm?
