I had a sunfish for a year when I put in my red oscar.
Oscar became the boss, but tolerated the sunfish.
My O wouldt be handfed and the sunfish was allways catching the scraps and ocasionally took food out of my hand.
Problem was my sunfish terrorizing my Silver Dollars, with the Oscar things were fine!

My sunfish was 3" when i got my 2"Oscar. Things went real smooth when I put them together.
When there so small all they care about is food, not fighting. I say: keep a close watch and try it.

You got me there...I don't know.
It seemed my sunfish knew the size my oscar would get from the beginning.
And treated him with such respect.
But I can imagine it to be the otherway around, seeing the aggro behaviour in my Sunfish.
