I just bought two 4 inch Oscars for my new 150+ gallon tank. I'm planing to add two more fish soon. Would Flower Horn be a good option. Is Flower Horn an aggressive fish. And how about Parrot Cichlid ?

Since this is my first Oscar pair i don't have any experience. Are they fast growing fish ? Since they are new to the tank, should i expect any special behavior ?

Yes Oscars do grow very fast(abt an inch a month till its gets abt 7"-8".Oscars or any fish for tat matter wil take a few days to get adjusted to a new tank, Jus make sure tat ur tank is cycled properly. N dont add any more fishes too fast. Give ur tank some time to get suited to d bio load. Now to d point of Flower horn n Parrot fish. They are both hybrid fish n if u still wanna keep them, then try keepin Parrot cause Flower horns can be very aggressive. N also make sure tat ur not overstocking ur tank.
Hi I'm Deepu from India, i have two Oscar's 7" & 8". Got them recently n jus love them.

it is very important not to overstock your tank... your O's may only be 4 inches now, but in a year or two they will be three times that size.

a Jack Dempsey cichlid would be a good tank mate for your O's... or even a few angelfish...
maybe even a couple of convicts
other pets are my colt (Freddo Frog), my staffy (Tank) and my boxer x,(Steph)

I added two black angelfish. Initially there were some chargings towards each other (never attacked) but now they seem to be going along well. But don't know what will happen when my Oscars grow up.

actually, it will depend on the character of your oscar.
my angel grows with the oscar for two years now, started
when they were all 1.5 inches body sizes. the oscar grew
up to 14 inches long (although i lost 1 recently) and angel
is now 5 inches body wide. i dont have any issue among them.

Generally my angelfish show more aggression so far. But when it comes to the feeding time Oscars are more aggressive. I always make sure they have enough food so that they don't have to fight for.
My oscars(tiger) are 2 inch long and angelfish are 3 inch wide.

sliver dollars work well with oscars just remember not to get dollars that are heaps small cause the oscars will catch up.oh and the flower horn... probabaly a real bad idea.. i once had a baby red devil in the tank with my o's that were twice his size and they got bashed...and from what ive heared flower horns can be just as aggressive maybe even more
