no! fresh water barracuda is a predatory fish and your oscar won't
last long. even if they are big enough, the constant bullying
of barracuda could make them ill and eventually will die. fresh
water barracuda love soft meat tissue or live foods but won't
touch frozen or dried foods. and they also gain weight 40% of
the food intake.

Thanks for the advice. BTW My baracudas are 2 inches long and I think my O's are 4 inches long by now. I think it will be nice if I transfer my baracudas to a 15 gallon fish tank?

i dont like to be rude but 15 gal is like a prison cell for your
baracuda. it requires more space than oscar and grow faster than o.

Are we talking about the Pike-characin, aka false gar aka ctenolucius hujeta.
Because that will only grow up to 12"the most.
Very skittish fish.
Is this the fish you are you reffering to?
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

i successfully kept a 6" Esox americanus (grass pickerel) that i caught on hook and line with goldfish for over a year. i fed it minnows from the baitshop. when it finally outgrew the 35 gallon tank i had it in i released it back into the lake. it had grown to nearly a foot. it never bothered the goldfish but they were pretty big. anything small tho... it didnt last thru the night.
