I just bought 4 spotted Dollars 3 days ago, tried them on lettuce, zucchini and pumpkin, they ate most of the lettuce and a little pumpkin, but when I put in a bloodworm pellet they turned into piranha's and finished it off before my O' even got any!
The fishguy said they'l eat pleq wafers, is that true? and what have you guys found yours like the most?

They have strange eating habits.
Will take any pellets meant for my Oscar.
Will take all pleco wafers meant for my plecos.
I tried waterfleas, bloodworms, mealworms,artemia, they love it all.
But when I put in Lettuce or spinach they all hide!
They were sold to me as planteaters, but when I still had live plants in my tank, they didnt bother to eat those.
They love the pieces of Zuchinni that float around after my pleco eats like a pig.
They supposedly like to gnaw on a dead fish or shrimp sometimes.
And last but not least if one of your Dollars gets sick, the whole bunch may join in to eat their sick tankmate...
I was surprised about that but there still related to piranhas.

SD's are omnivores, they eat meat and veg. My dont get a special diet, they eat what my other fish get. Maggots, prawns, cichlid pellets and peas! When I buy maggots they come with maize, the SD's eat this maize
