125g tank,

2 oscars, 2 Synodontis eupterus, 1 bristlenose plec and 1 common plec. All fish are adults.

What do you think? Ok or potential catastrophe?

with adequate filtering system, you can cope with the bioload.
it is usually computed at 25 liters of water for every inches
of fish in addition to the standard 55 gal for one full grown o

Is this a possible set-up?
If the O's are familiar with eachother it can work. Are they a pair?
A pair may team up against other fish, especially if the got fry.
Though plecos and Oscars can become a problem, it works in my tank.

Yes this is the setup I'm thinking.

My friend is downsizing his aquarium so the common plec and the two Synodontis eupterus would come from his tank. The two oscars are not a pair, and it possible that they won't get along at all. In which case the smaller oscar (that is more social, I hear) will have to find another home.

It's a bit of a guess, but if you allready got the possibility to rehome one of them it def woth the try!
I'd love to have Synodontis sometime, but my tank is full.
I like catfish very much but they'll have to stay on my whishlist until i can upgrade my tank.

Yeah the smaller one has another home ready if they don't get along.

Oh noes, the fishstore owner called. The big oscar had jumped out from the quarantine tank during the night and died.

Ow, big bummer!
Are there anymore big ones available?
If not, I'd go for a baby and make it grow!
You'll have a Big Oscar in no time.
I prefer babies, they seem to grow into their surroundings and you can train them.
