Is there anything colourful and active that I could keep with my Oscar and silver dollars?

Tank is 97.5 UK / 117 US / 443 litres. Filtered with a Fluval FX5 which does 2,300 litres per hour.

How big do you want it?
I got a Vieja Synpillum, but I guess a Vieja will be a bit much for your bioload, as they can outgrow an Oscar.

Well either something large or a shoal of something small that won't get eaten so really I'm not fussed.

Vieja look very nice. Do they create much waste and how are they with Oscars? I don't want a repeat of what happened with my Oscar and a Texas.

green terror, i love mine. if you can come across a female, it would probably be best as they don't get as big. a male can get 10"+

you might consider salvanis or severums as well. sals only grow to about 6 inches or so and will easy hold their own in an oscar tank. and sevs come in a wide variety of colours and are good tankmates for oscars.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

Vieja do not add visible poo to your tank, but they eat a lot and will be a big extra on your bioload.
Seeing the males outgrow an Oscar easily, I just hope mine is a female!

My Viaja had to be trained a little to behave herself cuz she kept charging at my Oscar at full speed.Think that may have been normal ciclid behaviour, after all.
She never touched the O or did direct damage, and after the training she's not bugging him anymore.

what is the fish in delboy's avatar? it's pretty colorful...

oh, and green terrors can be sorta aggressive from time to time. mine gets horny about once a month and picks one fish out of the bunch to push around... never does much damage though, it usually gets it's faced a little chewed up from being inside of an oscar's mouth.

Dont get a green terror, they are aggressive nightmares

go with a severum, blue acara, salvini or firemouth
I can't get no sleep

I've just been to my LFS and they have some red spotted severums in. I held off buying one though as I need advice on size. My oscar is 9" and these severums were about 2 1/2 - 3". Is that bite size or would one be ok?
