I know the pleco's are hard to breed but has anyone done it, know how to sex them? I had a big insident that forced me to put my large pleco in with my little pleco. They get along great which make me wonder if they could make a pair and breed??

i hope you are just kidding. plecs are now being considered pests in my place,
not pets anymore: www.llda.gov.ph

just release a pair in any water system and they be available to anyone soon

What kind of plecos do youhave and what L-number do your plecos have?
There's over 400 known species, so if you could tell me that I'll try to answer for you.
Some species are very hard to breed but with some other species you just put a couple in the tank, play some Barry White music and bingo!
Best to try 2-3 females and one male.
For males and females and often very good to distinguish.
Most male plecos even have a moustache, which are actually odontodes that grow above their gills.
If you could post some pics, I'll try to tell you their sex.
Unlike Paul, I love pleco's!!lol
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
