Do you think that a pacu and 2 oscars can be housed in a 75 gallon tank? Thanks.

Nope
you could have one oscar in the 75 with a medium tank mate
you need atleast 100 gallons for two oscars, preferably more
pacu get 2 feet long, and need a huge tank for themselves
Please, for my sake, change your oil!

aggreed.
Check this videos for the size of Pacu.

I only know very few people who have ponds large enough to keep them.

i will have 2 pacu in my 8 footer. my friend has 2 pacu and 2 oscars in a 55 and they are now about 6 inches long and hes trying to get me to buy them from him. i told him when i get my 8 footer set up and running he can feel free to "donate" them to me lol.

i really want one of his oscars... its yellow lol.

Ow, your thinking of upgrading so soon?
He'll have trouble enough passing them on when they really become tankbusters!

really i dont need or want any of his fish to be honest, but hes talking about getting me to buy them from him, i told him he could give them to me if he wanted. he said hes moving and probably wont have room for the 55 (what??? LOL) anyways hes got a really nice looking yellow oscar and a 10" or so "6 year old" oscar altho my 12 fish is only about 2 years old. what hes got is 2 oscars, 2 pacu, and like 11 black convicts (2 big ones and their babies that grew lol). im almost positive i dont want those convicts in my tank. they would be impossible to maintain their numbers in a tank this big. id need a really big net lol. he wants 30 bucks for them... i have seen them sell big red bellied pacu in the 1.5ft range for about 100 bucks each. maybe an investment lmao. but anyways hes got a 55 gallon tank that hes only had 5 months he bought new for about 250 bucks that he wants to sell to me for 70, i was thinking i could grow feeder platys or some other live bearing fish, and breed my own feeders which ill will need in supply once i get my aro the oscars will make short work of them as well. what im gettin at is im going to have a 55 gallon tank i can do what i want to do with lol. infact once i move my oscar from the tank its in now ill have 2 empty 55's lol. puffers get an upgrade to a 55, and then i have free tank to breed fish with. OR put african cichlids in it. im still trying to make up my mind on that one lol.

Is there a market for them in Texas?
Here in Holland rehoming them is allmost impossible because they need a pond to thrive.
It has to be an indoor pond due to our bad weather in Holland and they become so incredibly big very fast!
Better not burn your fingers on these guys.
Lol, I bet Paul knows some delicious recepies to cook with pacu!

lol well when he was asking me about fish he mentioned them... and i specifically advised him against getting pacu, and of course he bought two of them. now hes trying to pawn them off on me. i really dont want them, but they are still small enough to be manageable, and are fairly attractive aside from their torn up lips he blames on the coral they run into in his tank. im still trying to decide on it. i mean i have 5 silver dollars too im going to put in there with them. and i still want the aro! running out of tank space on a tank i havent even filled up all the way yet!!! woe is me LOL

Lol, I bet Paul knows some delicious recepies to cook with pacu!

when pacu is well feed, it has a soft thin skin, and taste good when grilled.
but if it is feeds with pellet booster, it will have thick skin and taste murky.
the meat would get off with the spine.

pacu taste like a pomprete.
