Thank you everyone for helping out with my stocking questions here is what my final tank stock will be for my 120 US Gallon : Two Angelfish, One Oscar, One Black Ghost Knife,One Rhino Pleco, and Two Spotted Rapheals. Invertabrates in the tank will include four Japanese Trapdor snails, four Ivory Apple snails, some ramshorms and a bunch of Malaysian Trumpet snails.

Filtration is mainly biological filtration and is finished off by mechanical filtration, that has 600gph worth of water going through it and it will also have 30% biweekly water changes and iam also going to try some live plants ( red tiger lotus and red jungle val).

There is a hide for the rapheals and a two 5 inch tall, five inch wide, and 20 inch long hides for the plec and bgk.

So what do yah think,

Yah, depending on water test results and as the fish increase in size I will either do 10 % every other week along with 30% after every two weeks for a total of 50% water change monthly or go with a 40% total monthly water change with 10% each week.

So water change schedule is still up in the air.

Hun I hate to break it to you but you may require a 40% water change a week. Just test our water so you know when you need a water change.

But a 40% weekly is very common!

well for me it all depends on the clarity of the water and what water tests say, for when i do water changes so if i have to do 40% weekly ill do so.

Is the plecos cave made of wood?
I ask because your pleco will need to rasp on some driftwood daily.
They need the wood to properly digest their food.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

The caves are made of plexiglass but i do have driftwood in the tank, about four medium sized pieces.

I'm going to blame my O's for eating my snails...... two fairly good sized ones (about as round as a US Quarter); and one smaller one - about the size of a US dime. One by one - nothing but empty shells. All three were gone from about 2 weeks from bringing them home. Oh well, the shells look pretty on the bottom of the tank:)

X2 snails also put a bio load on your tank and not just the fish. as long as you understand the relationship between testing and changing water you should be ok.
