well its been a while seence ive last posted anything cause everthing seems to be going soo well until now
my two oscars it seems are not getting along with each other. they have got into bad fights before and i have taken the little one out the tank and moved him to another hospital tank to recover and then put him back into the tank after and things seem to go good for about 2 weeks then there at it again well at least the big oscar is at it again with the little one chacing him around the tank and the little one doesnt even fight back.

this is the big oscar maybe 8 inches

this is the small oscar maybe 4inches
both were recieved at the same time
there about i wana say 6 months
the small one just wont grow i dont no why and the big one just wont stop growing!
i love them both but im affraid one must go. i feel like even if i get a huge 200 gallon tank there still not gunna get along? can anyone give me some advice maybe tell me if any of you have gone threw this and what you did?
i dont want the tank to be empty so maybe thinking of getting a GT somthing to keep up with this big oscar of mine whos just mean as hell. let me no if thats a good idea?

i have a pleco but steel tank will feel empty

generally speaking from what i have read its best to remove the agressive fish to isolation rather than the victim. the sense of "what territory is mine" is lost and what not. thats the theory anyways.

If your tank is big enough you can get a divider and separate with that for a few weeks, Then when the small one is healed and eating well you can try to put the big one on the small Oscars side and if that works then remove the divider.

If that doesn't work you have the option of running 2 tanks.

If you got lucky enough to get 2 males it may never work, to keep them both in the same tank. All you can do is try!

very true
and all i do it seems is try and the little oscar wont grow past 4 inches and its beens six months sence ive had him. and big one wont leave him alone.
so im thinking of giving the little one up cause i dont think it will end up reaching past 8 inches at the rate its growing. im probably gunna end up bying a JD or GT what do you think on that subject?

I understand where you are coming from.

i love my JD! She is great. I also love my GT's but they are not in with my Oscars so have no real experience with that one.

Good luck!

I'm in the same boat, I have to give up my over 10"Vieja, for she's starts to damage my O,but i can take him to my LFS, luckily.
looking for another nice fish makes it a lil' easier to let your fish go.
