i have two tiger oscars in a 125 gallon,
i bought a convict,wamted a "breading pair" for a 55 i have
but the maie bite the fins off the female and she died at the pet store
lfs store said it would be a good fish to go with oscars so i got him for 5.00, well he nipped some fin marks off my oscars just alittle bit, but dont want more. and took over the red tail sharks house.

oscars are about 3 1/2" long
albino ed tail shark 5" long
nasty little convict same size as oscars.

he seems like a dick fish, lol. are all convicts like this? should i take him back to the jail he came from? or will they work out in the long wrong

not all fish are the same, i have 3 breeding pairs in my 8 foot tank and for the most part they leave the oscars alone, but in my tank all my oscars are bigger than any of my convicts. lol when you think about it, most cichlids are dick fish lol... they are all mean.

Yea, and they're really interesting to keep if they don't kill each other.

i suggest you should make an arrangement with the lfs that you could
exchange it if something gone wrong. worth trying than not.... it is
always better to try and fail than not trying at all
