Common Plecos can exceed 2 feet in length. They are very messy fish that creates a huge bioload.

BTW you only need to ask a question once in a forum, no need to repeat the question in different forums

yesterday i bought some nightcrawlers for my o and he wouldnt eat them instead he started pecking on my pleco. i have raised it on pellets, last week in fact, was the first time i fed it live food[two goldfish, which it swallowed whole] your site is really opening my eyes to care and maintenance. is there something wrong since it wont eat the worms?i do regular water changes, dont have a test kit for my water yet bear with me ill get it soon im just new to this, the oscar was given to me, and i have little experience with fish, but i do want advice. also will the oscar be content in my 75 gallon all alone if i decide not to keep the pleco?

Hey, as for the crawlers, just offer them once in a while, I am sure he will soon figure out they are GREAT food... mine love them!

and I would go ahead and keep the O and the plec, just keep in mind that when the plec is 13 inches long, there will be more of a bio load... and you may have to rehome him!
