Hi guy's
I have been thinking of putting a Sev in with one of my O's for company.
The O' is 10-11", and my LFS has a sev roughly the same size, which eliminates it becoming dinner BUT my O has a history of eating [smaller] tankmates, except for my SD's.
I know there's no easy answer, but since the sev is the same size, is it at least likely they will get along?
Can a sev swim quick enough to dodge the odd charge from the O?
Finally, whats a sev's temprament like? are they likely to stand up to an O' or are they more placid and likely to run?

Severum make excellent Tankmates for Oscars. I wouldn't have thought the Oscar will pay much attention to the Sev and even if it does try and push it around, the Severum will be more than capable of sticking up for itself

I adore my severum - I got him about a month after the baby O's - so they've grown together over the past few months.....

in my limited experience, the severum is a gentle, calm, easy-going fish and in my situation, gets along great with the O's - they swim along together, eat along side each other and don't seem to have any issues
