Hello and Welcome...

Oscars can happily live alone in the tank. And if you have gone through that many tankmates, I would leave him alone!
It's NOT smart to piss off the girl with the BAN button!

many oscar's live thier whole life happily alone in a suitable tank size for them. what size is your tank however, that could be the cause for his aggresion.if he is just mean, then go with a jack dempsey, or red devil
best of luck

Thnaks in advance in anticipation of prompt reply.

54 liters? that equates to about 14 US or 12 UK gallons. You can really only keep very small fish in such a small tank - like neon tetras or maybe a few guppies.

A single, lone Oscar needs a tank at least 55 US gallons (208 liters). If you want to have tank-mates, then you need a much, much bigger tank than that.

Here is a very informative article about the tank needs of Oscar fish:

please familiarize yourself with it and post additional questions you may have

yeah i agree yr tank is ridiculously small for an oscar, its like you living in a fridge.

def dont look into getting any more fish at all, the reason they are dieing is because the tank is too small, any fish you keep in there bar very small community fish like tetras etc will die, including your current oscar.

please please upgrade your tank a.s.a.p, if you only want your current oscar upgrade to ATLEAST 210 litres, if you want tank mates go ever bigger, the bigger the better.

if your not in the position to do this then your not in the posistion to keep an oscar and should maybe think about re-homing him.
