i have 2 oscars, 1 albino tiger & 1 black, i also have a blood parrot cichlid & a small red devil cichlid & 1 pleco.

they all seem to be getting along pretty good now, my red devil is the newest addition & has only been in the tank for a week or so, do you think i will run into any problems with him as a mate as he gets bigger?? my oscars are 8" & 7", the parrot is about 5" & the red devil is about 2-3"

thanks

Well, I am pretty new here, but I have a 130 gallon and I am setting up for 1 Oscar, 1 Texas Cichlid and 1 Clown Loach, and thats it. Sounds to me like you need some more(alot more), tank. Those fish will run outta room soon!

I agree. The tank needs to be upgraded. For two O's I'd say 130G! But as for the tank mates, I have three peppered catfish and a sucking loach in my tank. The catfish are only 2" and the loach is 3". So far my O, (he's 9") has not touched them, and he has lived with them since he was tiny. If you keep them well fed, and they are not too territorial, you may be lucky like me. But I hope I don't come home one day to a missing fishy.....!!!
Sometimes they leave other fish alone, sometimes not??

i agree a bigger tank is needed with all of them in such a small tank they will constantly try and establish territory and end up fighting all the time.

oscars have a mind of their own some of them can even get along with their own and then ive heard of oscars that are happy with a beta in the tank.

it all depend on yr oscars personallity.

Keep an eye on the red devil when it gets bigger. I have never kept them but have heard how aggressive they can be. They didnt get their name for nothing. however all fish are different and yours might be ok
I can't get no sleep

You defo need a bigger tank, ive two oscars sharing a 160gal tank with 2 snakeheads with no problems.Anyhing else the oscars will either evict or devour.I tried them with two other oscars before the snakeheads and they were evicted after two days.Small fish are eaten straight off.I thought id try 2 snakeheads and they've been in nearly a week with no trouble.Like delboy said it depends on the fish but you're gonna need alot bigger tank 160 min id of said.

i have had 2 oscars (8'') a pike (9'') and a red devil (7.5'') and a large pleco in a 125 gallon tank. the red devil took over a corner on the left side of the tank and would go after anything that went near it. though the oscars were pretty much defenseless against the aggressive red devil, the pike would tag along with the oscars and send the red devil cowering back into the cave, unfortunately the tank died of ick when i tryed adding in another pike. it was pretty disappointing. was a very nice setup
