I am new to the hobby, i have had my fish in the tank for about a week.
It is a 95 gal tank and currently i have 6 tiger barbs, a 3 inch firemouth, a 2 inch oscar and a 3 inch gt.
Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all at 0.
My issue is; the gt, after about 3 days, started attacking my oscar to the extent that i had to seperate the oscar into a breeding basket, his fins are shredded and alot of his scales have been taken off. The gt and firemouth were getting along fine but the day after removing the oscar the gt started to attack the firemouth constantly, he also has chunks taken out of his fin and tail. For the safety of the other fish the oscar is now back in the tank and i have put the GT in the breeding basket temporarily, plus i am medicating with melafix.
I cannot afford to buy another tank just yet as i have spent alot of money on this one.
Does anybody have any ideas as to where i should go from here?
cheers,
Harry
