hey cebo... sorry i am not a fond of any pleco for i hate them
because they are now a reason to worry about our body of fresh water.
some stupid people had released them in our local waterways and they can
be found anywhere now..... can you imagine the trouble of having them in bunch
like this:

Yeah Paul, I understand. That would suck to have those things invading all of your water ways.

Overall, there are definitely many pros and cons to having a Pleco in an aquarium.

I mostly put the video together because I know there are a few Pleco fans out there in the OFL community.

Nice one, Cebo, pleco's suck and it's a good thing.
Thanx for posting, and you did it, you got 5 minutes of footage without your O interfering with the movie!

No pun intended...

I don't know if I quite got 5 minutes, because toward the end my Red Oscar got nosy and started poking his head in the video, like "what about me???what about me??? "

He seems to like you very much, or that camera.
Allthough i suspect my Oscars only see a big bag of Hikari pellets when i walk past the tank.

I love Pl*co's. ALL kinds of Pl*co's!

Pl*co Pl*co Pl*co!!

Sadly though...my common plec is ready to find a bigger home. He's just getting too big. I had thought I found him a bigger home a few months back on Craigslist but it turned out the tank was only 90 gallons. He's already 9 inches so I want at LEAST 120. The thing is was that I was terrified of my father's small Plec as a child so I wanted to get the biggest one I could find as an adult and take care of him. VERY cool. I'd love to care for more eventually, although I only have room for my Oscar. I'd really like a Plec only tank.

i get your point, Johhny.
I wanted a Gibbiceps but imo they need a 8 footer to thrive so i ended up with a Hypostomus instead.
I saw some fullgrown specimen lately and i was amazed again at their size.

ALL the PLECO'S came...from FAR and WIDE...TO the PLECO Ball...in their Gangsta rides...it's funny..either as an Oscar owner you despise Pleco's or like them...seems like no in between...

I love that vid, allthough it's not the kinda pleco-keeping i'd advice to...
I see trouble when a Pseudacanthicus is kept with other fish in confined quarters.
When i introduced mine into the tank ALL fish had their fins torn and ripped by his spines the next day.
But they learned quickly and stayed clear of his "false-thorns" within days.

Leave it to Johhny and me, to turn this thread into a "Pleco-appreciation-thread".
and i got this big delete button nowadays, so i can erase any of Paul's negative influenses on the thread.
No, i won't do that, Paul.
