I have edited the subject title of this video for the time being.

I am afraid that I find the footage extremely disturbing and uncomfortable to watch so please understand we may well remove this video if we get any complaints.

hmmmmm. it didn't seem that bad to me. maybe the bad part was edited out. That was a decent size goldfish for that O to take down.

Okay, I have to disagree. That's just an Oscar doing his thing. He eats other fish. I figured all this crap was over when that other thread with the lizard calmed down.

I hope my opinion on feeding feeders is well known and this video just backs up my thoughts on it being cruel. I personally dont feed feeders to oscars.

Having said that, the video does show why oscars mainly eat insects etc in the wild because they are rubbish at hunting fish

x2 here.i do not condone to feeding fish too big for the o to swallow in one bite.
and ever though i have some strickly piscivore fish, i resolve to feeding frozen fish, for i hate to see ANY fish suffer pointlessly.

Okay, I'm not debating whether it's right or wrong to feed live fish to your Oscar. However, many people don't like watching a helpless fish panicking and whilst trying to avoid a grisly death.

hey i was totally naieve when i put that goldfish in there. the fish shop guy said that at that stage ozzie was too big to eat a big goldfish like that! i know now, he dosent eat goldfish anymore. he has treats of brine shrimp and bloodworms...
so please be kind to me im new to this and its a learning experience!
