today morning i found my texas beaten up very badly. lots of scales were missing. I did everythin i could but just a while ago i found him dead.
he was housed with my mean O. O always dominated the tank but he didn't go hard on the texas, but this time he has. i really don't know what i can keep with this fella. a few months ago he almost killed my male jag.

this is my texas just after i got him. he is being treated for white spot

sorry for your loss, and i can't even imagine my o's doing a thing like that, but you allready stated he was mean...
still a shame, it was a lovely fish.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

i am still lucky my 3 o's are just hostile to the huge pang....
not with smaller tilapia who grown up from the small feeders..

sorry for the loss mate, ive found when i feed my oscar live food (aka feeders/crickets) this tends to make him more aggressive as apposed to feeding him pellets

thanx guys and gals, i have been always proud of my Os aggression, but this time i saw the down side of it. This texas was my second favorite fish. He wasn't interactive like my O but he was very active.
I think im gonna keep my O alone for a while. He's so unpredictable, they were getting alone well

@Noddy yeah i think this one is an exception, i have 2 more Os, they are aggressive like this fella
@STAFFIE , it's a green texas, not an EBJD (still looking for one of them)

If your oscar is that aggressive its probably best to keep him on his own
