Here is the feeding video update for this week. Ash (red oscar) looks like he is getting so big so quickly now, which is odd, since he is now about 9 months old.

I am so counting the time until I can get the 240! I want it yesterday!

About 1/2 way through the video you can see blaze (parrot) and neptune (flowerhorn) have one of their little spats. It also took them longer to eat this much food than it has been taking them lately. Won't be feeding this much again I guess.

Sorry for the sunrise you can see gradually creep in toward the video's end.

Hope you enjoy.

I am always looking for better ways to enhance the lives of my babies. Hit me up, let's chat about fish!

Cool, what were you feeding them?
They seem to like it very much!

This morning was

3x melted hikari cubed krill
3x melted hikari cubed blood worms
3x melted hikari cubed brine shrimp

at the end, I put in 8 large hikari cichlid gold pellets for the oscars. Those pellets are too large for anyone else to eat. Saturday's are a 'treat' day for my babies. I feed lightly and more sparsely during the week, and I treat them on Saturday. They just adore it.

oh, i've seen the big slates at my LFS, those must have been hikari then, possibly.
i allways have a hard time finding the half a kilo or kilo bags of Hikari algaewafers and ciclid pellets.
Stores tend to sell smaller bags, which i understand, for they earn the most that way.
I might start ordering from the net and see if that works, and pays off of course, with the postal costs added.
I have to be at special fish conventions to buy those mega bags.
Not that i mind going there.

last one was a Aquaterra convention, and they had the biggest movable ciclid tank in the world set up there.
It was actually a trailor wagon, that was transformed in a mega tank ,housing several hundreds of ciclids, of different families, but mostly the smaller species.
No oscars in there and that was a shame.
Plus no lighting at all on the megatank, except for any light that came in from the hall itself, which made me think the whole thing was a bit of a waste.
