TOPIC: My new light

Hi Everyone, What do you all think of my new light? It seemed a bit too bright with a 4ft freshwater tube in it, so i got a royal blue silicone sleeve for the tube. Am i right in believing that my o's don't need any special light source?

Proper lighting is really only important if you want to keep plants alive. Lighting is really only for our benefit. If you ever watched any wildlife films that come from the little backwaters of the Amazon, you'll see that any fish that live there do so in quite dim lighting. Because the Amazon is quite murky, it's never going to be very bright so is no need to get strong lighting for Oscars

Looks cool!
Wonder what it does to the red in the Oscars though, won't that look a bit .. well less red? lol.
I'm sure they like the dim light though. Mine has to take the full lumen of some daylight and sunlight fluo tubes and doesn't complain so far, but some seem to feel safer with less lighting.
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this
