I didn't take any pics for the month of September... instead 2 videos.

Noddy, I have some good video of J. Edgar Hoover - hoovering!! I can't believe how big Opie is getting... he's bigger that Jack and coming close to Red !!

And the feeder breeder tank... the baby pleco in here is hiding today. They are all freaking out cause I just turned the light on.

Enjoy....

Brooksie, very nice footage of your tank. They all look like they are getting along very well and look very healthy.

Your "lutino" tiger Oscar has outgrown mine. Looks like he/she has a good growth rate going on.

Cheers

very nice vid ,B!
i love the way your red is acting like he's camera shy at 2.22sec.
Very sweet.

And J. Edgar surely looks aware of the camera.
He struck a nice pose for me!
And he's eating good.
He's gonna be big, you can trust me on that.

lol there's no way I could raise feeders...I'd get attached to them and end up with 27 feeder tanks.

Thanks all.... hope you enjoyed!

Opie is growing like crazy! I'm happy he is keeping his markings so far...

J. Edgar has been enjoying the camera lately. Posing so nicely! He is getting big and eating nicely.

As for the feeders Johnny... I hear what your saying. I haven't grown attached to them yet. Who knows, I might just end up with a molly/guppy tank!

Tanks look great, love the way J. Edgar was posing for you. Tell me, do your guppies and mollies mind going into the breeder net to give birth. How do you know when to put them in..do you mark the days on a calander or do you just know how dark the gravid spot gets? I have been pretty hit and miss with the net and consequently I have a low survival rate for fry....thanks Shaz

Mine do not go into the net for giving birth. I tried it twice and it didn't work - they aborted the pregnancy. I have had more luck covering my HOB filter with a stocking and letting them give birth in the tank. I monitor the tank closely to catch them when they are born. I haven't had much luck keeping them alive... I had 6 and I now have 4. Guess that isn't too bad?? We'll see !

i was planning to start breeding panchax killi fish.
they spawn at a young age, grow very fast and are amuzing fish.
Turned out a bit to amazing, for i grew very attached to them. They are like little pikes and behave in the same way.
Here's a lil' article i wrote about them:

maybe that could be an idea, if these mosquito fish are available where you live.
They have a very fast digestive system, and are one of few fish that can eat several meals a day, and only thrive on that. that's what helps their growthrate skyrocket through the roof!
