This is my current setup. I have a 10 gallon right now, but will be upgrading to 90 gallon hopefully next month. At that point I will be adding sand and slate/rocks instead of gravel and fake buildings that I bought at Petco, lol.

I have 2 Oscars. One Tiger ("Backup") and one Red ("Big Red"). I just got them a week ago, a few days apart each, and they already love each other.

Oh I definitely will. I am picking up a bowfront 150 gallon tank with stand for $400 next week. I got a great deal off of craigslist.com So I will post pictures when I get it all set up!

P.S. my little guys are already bigger than those last pics i posted and it is only a couple weeks later. They are definitely growing fast!

See, this is why people get oscars with just a 10 gallon tank - they look great in there (while they are babies) they have plenty of room and if you shop at a pet store that does not inform you or you don't research it would be very easy to get 2-3 oscars and a 10 gallon tank and think you have everything under control.

Anyways

Glad to hear your getting a new tank your oscars should be happy and healthy and your 10 gallon looks nice so can't wait to see the new one. That is a really good deal - are you going to do a sump filter or cannister? (Just curious) Whatever you decide to do it's best to do it from the start rather then waiting. Oh an if you are going to put a background on you should definately do it before you fill your tank. I just decided to do it, I got a dark blue background - nothing fancy but it looks great and the oscars look better with that contrast. Unfortunately my 160 gallon was full and only about 6" behind the tank so needless to say it was very difficult. Best of luck !

Yep, I actually just picked up my tank yesterday. That was not fun. I am EXTREMELY sore today. 150 gallon, not bow front as I had originally planned. That guy backed out on me. However, I will hopefully have it set up in a few weeks. It is definitely going to take a little work to get it lookin good.

The tank I bought ended up coming with a 30 gallon sump filter pre-made, however I am going to modify it a little and add an extra chamber. I'm also going re-make the piping that came with it because I don't like the design the guy used. I will post before and after pics, cuz those are always fun!
