nice pair of red Oscars, a little bit like mine.

Blimey, you've got some other fish in there:)

I was going to ask the same, they look like reds but are white in pic. I have never seen these before. they look very health and are a nice pair.

actually, I was told that they were red oscar species when i got them. I'm also confused when they grow that big big grey color. I had an experience with tiger, golden albino, and yellow albino ( based on scale markings- albino with red scale & albino with golden yellow scale markings). This is the first time I see this specie but they grow fast. In 17 months, they are approximately 12 inches long (1.5 kg weight) and had laid eggs twice already.

The black fish and the white fish are called locally hammerhead shark but I was told they are called catfish in the standard aquarium society. They are also 17 months old and about 17 inches long. They compete with my oscars for foods. Very amazing to watch them grabbing strip of beef heart or pork spleen. I only feed them once a day to avoid overfeeding. And I never change my water for that long. (17 months)

Maybe they are some sort of USA bronze?? I had a USA bronze that grow so fast I began to think it was not a oscar. I got it around 1.5" and in 3 months it was 9" plus and by 6 month 12"plus and very aggresive. it left the tank every time I opened the lid in an attempt to eat my hand. it killed a catfish i had at the time plus a bigger oscar by biting its jaw in half. Then it just stopped eating. wouldnt eat a thing at all and died a month later.(( It was a great looking fish and was very much like your 2.
PS the catfish at bottom is a pangasius sutchi reach 18" and need fast flowing water,(big pump) scare easy so may end up damageing themself.also come in white. )) I love them too.

thanks for the info. Yes, they are very actice, keep on swimming around, and whenever somebody tapped the glass, they banged the wall and make wound on their noses. Sometimes, I thought they could break the glass tank due to hard hitting head. I loved to watch them swimming gracefully. I had a pair 1 black & 1 white, same size.
