The tank is 400 litres - aprox 88 gals. I've kept Oscars before as a kid, and we've had a Juwel community tank for about 5 years - but this is the largest tank I've ever had. The last Juwel filter system was a breeze to maintain - and running both the internal Juwel and external Fluval 405 seems to be keeping all the levels perfectly.
I'm keeping fingers crossed over the plants - maybe Homer will be one of the few Oscars who *likes* plants
(he didn't touch the ones in the smaller tank - and hasn't shown any interest in them now either...). We're happy to risk it for now though - I'd rather keep a green tank, since it's in our lounge, and if you don't try, you don't know...
