Well heres a picture of my oscar. not sure how old he is. i aquired him.
bout 11 inches long roughly.

Nice looking tiger. Could you get a closer photograph of its right nostril please. I can't really see by the photographs on the form at the moment, but it does rather look slightly enlarged which could be the first signs of hole in the head disease.

i concur with OFL and necro. it seems early stage of
HITH. can you take another shot at that right nostril.

hi.....oh yes i can see it now,on the left hand side of the O's nose i thought it was a mark on the picture at first LOL.

I can try tomorrow to take another picture.
He has always had that there. so im pretty sure its not HITH syndrome.
hes a pretty rough going fish so always missing scales now n then.

nevertheless, you should keep the water change to keep
your water under check. if it does symptom of HITH, it
will progress once the body of your oscar become weaker.
better safe than sorry.

Have been doing regular water checks also cos of different water to where i used to be.
\Only problem i have is a high ph. 8.0. been a problem to get it down. nitrate n nitrite are both at 0 ppm.
but will do another water change later this week. [img]

Have you ever thought of getting a nice big of bog wood? This should help lower your pH, although it would rise every time you do a water change.

I don't know whether you have tried to include a photo with your last post, if you did it hasn't worked. It's no good using the facility on the forum to add photos, it has been disabled. You have to use a program like photo bucket to include photos on the forum.

Yeh have got a chunk of timber in in his tank. refer to DIY project. has sorta lowered it a little bit already.
