but im a little confused, there is no gt in the this tank. i am assuming you mean the geophagus.

ha ha ha, i mean jd not gt. i am not used to put
initials, better put dempsey next time around.

there are time i am confused, asian people have
different names for those species. only lately
i was able to comprehend what they are in normal world.

i rescued the male from less than perfect conditions about a year ago now. he was a little skinny(but 5 inches long) and living in a 10 gallon tank with brownish water. the female i bought to see if she could survive with him(he had a reputaion of killing all his tankmates), about 2 months later. they are housed in my 180 with the rest of fish in the pics and no they havent spawned yet but they have established their territory on the far side of the tank. the only one they tolerate over there is the tiger oscar now so i sense the eggs are soon to arrive. for the record he is about 9 inches now(and fat) and she is about 5.

she has reached maturity now by the sounds of it......great job necro i love it !!!! good luck with them jd,s they seem good together GREAT JOB BUTTY
