jnet created the topic: what to do?

Ive added pics below as copied wrong links here :)

This is my tank and its been like this since we moved in May its just a bit sad looking and Im not sure what to do?
Residents are,
2tigers
jd
5rainbows
striped rapheal
spotted rapheal
fire eel
and plec.
Would like some more fish but not sure, I love gars, dragon gobi and giant gourami but thinking not enough tank but would like more colour more movement.
I want to keep bare bottom because it seems to be easier to clean, was going to go no ornaments just fish but the plec needs driftwood. I have a few plants but the fish eat them rainbows love plants so think a hardscape but open to any ideas. Just feel lost with it at the moment.

I'm living my life, but not necessarily in the right order :)

yes been busy we moved house so its been a bit cut down the fishies, but we are settled now. The house needs a lot of work but love it we have made a river and pond in the garden for pond fish but its work in progress as we are chopping down loads of firs and need to knock an asbestos garage down and want to build a new one with small utility but its all money. :)

But my tank made it here in one piece thanks to very good friends took 6people to move 3 body builders lol but fish survived and since then I brought a fire ell he is lovely but very shy. :)

Add 8+ adult 6" red-line torpedo barbs (Sahyadria denisonii) to get more tank movement or get a 8+ silver dollars

i was thinking torpedo barb because I thought of clown loach but they can get huge. Think Im going to have to make a trip to the florist traders to get some nice wood again but the water will get tannins which I dont mind just it looks pretty good at the moment nice and clear. :)

Hey, Jnet!
I felt challenged to get back on the site after your message earlier today.. :)
I must say that I prefer a more natural look with substrate, but a bare bottom tank seems fabulous for maintenance purposes.
Is your fire eel in this tank?
Mine loves to dig himself into the small stone substrate I have.
But my big fire eel only hid in beneath the driftwood.
What size is your fire eel now?

howdy partner in crime :)

Yes fire eel is in there its under the big red rock its about 8inches maybe 10 but its hard to even get a pic of his head or tail. I know a great background and substrate would be better but Im thinking lazy option and its so easy to keep clean besides the moss balls that keep getting chewed up and blocking the sump. ;)
