so i decided to ecperiment and put the largest of my mota babies into my 180 oscar tank. he went from being the big fish in a little pond to the smallest fish in a larger pond.

ill keep you updated on his progress.

Nice looking Mota Necro... Hey I ordered two more long finned oscars.. they are waiting for me at the LFS... One Lutino with a little red markings and the other is a Tiger like yours... Can you throw a pic up of yours so I can show my wife how beautiful they are???

thanks all. im hoping he doesnt get to stressed in there. the funny thing is the big fish dont pay him any mind but the little texas i have(about the same size as the mota)wont leave him alone.... go figure.

Necro, where did you find him? the tiger long fin?

dont laugh but one day i went into petsmart to pick up some clarifier and was checking out the oscars they had and i spotted him in the small tiger oscar tank. i stood there pointing at him and made my wife go and get a clerk to net him for me. he was a fluke in the tank(they dont purchase long fins)and i got to pick him up for six dollars..

sometimes it pays to check out chain store if you happen to be in one...

That is wonderful. I always check out the fish at Petsmart. And 9 times out of 10 I bring something home. lol. But we never have longfins here.. I will have to order one when I get one!
