just an update to my 250 US gallon tank. my oscars are from 10 inches to 12 inches. Its a 8 foot long tank.

I've got an 8' x 2.5 x 2.5 aquarium as well

All you guys are so lucky being able to have huge tanks! I cant wait to graduate from school and do some major uprades.

like i said my 3 oscars range from 10 inches to 12 inches. i have a couple convicts and fire mouths and green terrors.

those tubing seems to be discharge point.

no i dont have a under gravel system i have a power head in one corner though its not hooked up to nothing. just so there is movement in the tanks and i have 2 hang over filters there (Emperor 400 Bio-Wheel) and a Fluval FX5 Canister Filter. the tubes you see are from my bio-wheel filters. I have the items to do the under gravel filter but it will be to much work at this time to take all the rocks out and basicaly start all over again with my water. It takes a good hour just to run a hose to it and fill it up. I never have to take water out because after a week about 20 gallons is gone from the lighting i have so i just top it off with a hose.

Amo 0.0
Nitrite 0.0
Nitrate 1-2
Keep in mind my Nitrate out of my well water is at a 50 and once it runs though my tank in about 2 hours its dropped back down my LFS told me because all the filters i have going and all the Bio i have in the filters.
