thanks!
the o, which is 11 inches, a pleco i bought the same day as my o, which is every bit of 13 inches, and a black convict female (o ate her boyfriend, i was breeding about 70 babies every 3 weeks or so and they were almost all living only to get eaten at about 1/4inch by my jewel fish i nolonger have), a tiny little lace synodontis i bought a week ago, and a dozen minnows i put in there for a bit a snack for him.

here are 2 of my other fishtanks, one is full saltwater, sg 1.022, with 2 green spotted pufferfish in it, and my little electric yellow in a tank by himself if you dont count the snail in there to help clean up his mess. i did have that electric with the oscar, along with 3 other ones, but thats the only one the oscar couldnt catch and eat so i moved him to a tank by himself. all of them were in there for about 2-3 months, then in about a weeks time the O decided he liked yumyum yellow and i lost 3.

very nice indeed... i am contemplating to set up another tank
for saltwater after the 6 footer is in place. i just hope the misus
would not reject the idea....

why don't you put corral at the puffer tank? it will help you maintain
beak of the puffer without trimming....in the wild, puffer used to scrape
or bite the coral. i thought they are eating the stone but my late father
told me they are just sharpening their beak. now i realized why when i read
in the thread that some people have to trim the beak because if not, the beak
will grow to the point that puffer couldn't eat anymore

i give them hard shelled foods like shrimp and baby snails (they are f'n hard to find too) and that keeps their beak in check. im afraid to put coral in there just yet. i want to get the larger tank setup for them first before i get coral. and you realllly have to have a tank going for like 6month or a year before you can safely add coral from what ive been told just to build up the proper colonies of bacteria to keep it stable. they are super sensitive, and super pricey too! id hate for it to not be just right for them and have it die, and lose the coral, and my investment.

i fully understand that... but what i am referring to is a dead coral.
for a salt water tank, it will slightly alter pH. the rest will remain
the same. (look at the background, a dead coral)

ohhh i see. well... my intention is to take my oscars tank and make it fully seawater and move him to a 120 i have outside, after i move here in a few months. ill be taking all the gravel out of it, and replacing with argonite and live sand. there will be a simulated reef at first then after a while i will try introducing some live coral or polyps and see how that goes. puffers are bad for reef tanks tho, they eat it up. ill just have to see what i can get that they wont care for. but the dead coral is a good idea as far as giving them something to chew on. ill look into getting some of it.

Tank you, Win!
Cool fish, bro!
Love your O, your Puffers and your Yellow as well!
Is the yellow allways shy, or also only on cam like your Puffys?
Very nice. We can talk fish and guns and much more, but I like to see the fish!
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

lol usually my EY is pretty bold till he notices hes been noticed! if i keep some distances hes struts about with his doral fully erect showing off the nice black line in it. he likes bluff at my puffs' when they are on either side of the glass lol. its cute as hell lol. if i come to get a closer look its off to the pot tho lol. now when i had 4 of them they would get together and defend their little territory as a group, they were able to keep the pair of black convicts on the other end of the tank if that tells you anything. they seem to do better in groups i notice. ill be getting another couple so he has a few friends. im believing i have a male due to the eggspots on his ventral fin and the pointyness of them, however if you go by the colors rule the lack of coloration on his lower fins should mean its a female! but thats a pretty unreliable way to tell and i dont feel it valid enough to pull him out and handle him to check his vent. i would love to breed them. damn they are pretty fish.
