I've had some brown algae for a while now, and although I liked it i thought that maybe the oscars would benefit if their environment was more algae free...

anyway, my tank probably isnt really big enough for a cleaner, but as I have (I think) good filtration i thought I'd go for it, so bought a good old plec from my local fish shop...

within an hour he'd made a start on the algae, and done this (the light marks are where he'd been).....

Honey that is a clown loach, not a plec! They get big and do well in groups!

definitly a clown loach. they make great tankmates for oscars and like nicki said they can grow quite large however it takes a long time for them to do it(many years). they also are social and tend to do better in groups of 4-6.

lol... sorry, yes I know its a clown loach, I have 3... but I bought a plec today and its been busy eating ever since lol..
