well as many of you know ive been working on an 8 foot 212 gallon fish tank for a long time. i finally found a camera that works, my old one. the photo quality isnt as good as most of my pics but it will have to do.

i got the bulkheads in teh mail yesterday, i plumbed it today. heres pics .

basically all im missing now is time waiting on it all to fully cure, a hood with lights, i can make this for about 70 dollars, and a heater. really as far as cycling purposes go... i can do that without a hood.

rena xp4 canister plumbed into brand new bulkheads. its mirrored on the other end of the tank with another just like it.

ditto

top view of the plumbing work.

damn dusty glass, easily cleaned up lol. this view was trying to show the custom nozzles i made lol.

the 8 foot tank setup on the stand.

bloody hell tank Win...I love it...you had cored the glass bottom for the piping?
i wont do that for that size. any un-even footing could cause a massive leakage.
the water volume is heavy enough to break the glass.

it was already drilled paul. that bottom piece of glass is like 3/4 of an inch thick.

thor i re siliconed the braces back in after i meticulously cleaned all the old silicone out, and im thinking about making a sort of brace using allthread and some brackets. then when i build the hood, ill hide them. im pretty sure the silicone alone will be enough but i really just dont want to chance it.
