After having to euthanise my poor Oscar this morning (thread
here
) I went to my LFS to see if they had any of the young Oscars left that I'd seen the past couple of weeks.
They did have 2 adult sized ones but both looked extremely battered and although I'd happily help rehome another large Oscar, they didn't look too well off at all.
Anyway, the tank that had been previously bursting at the seems with young Oscars was down to 3 tigers and 2 albinos so not much choice, however one chose me by swimming straight over to look at me so he's the one I had.
The only concern I have is my Bichir. I think the O is too big for it but I know Bichir's can get more in their mouth than you'd think possible. Hopefully keeping it well fed will stop it showing too much interest.
They'd not long been fed so he's a fat little bloater in the pics. I'm sorry that these pics turned out so appalling, I'll try for some better ones at some point. Before anyone says it, yes I do need to get the algae scraper out!
