now the male unamed at the min havnt thought of a good one yet so he gets fish for now haha

Can I ask what tank size you have and how you know that one is male and one female? Did you just get lucky?

there currently in a 5ftx1.5ftx2ft rough mesures
i bought them both at the same time as i felt sorry leaving one at the shop as they where together in a seprate tank all by themselfs so buying one would of left the other alone
fish guy had no idea if there where male or female and they where traded by a valued customer of his whom said they where around 2 year old but never showed any sign of breeding.

i got them home they never parted since always stick together and recently after puttin them in the bigger tank they began to breed.
i know the orange one is male as he cleans the plate where the eggs get laid. which if i remember correctly the male always cleans to show he i worthy of fatherhood.
also the female has laid one batch of eggs which i seen myself.so thats the way i found out i have a nice healthy male and female oscar who are happy with each other.

Funny, my son's name is Kai, it's rather a male name here. I gotta tell him there's an Oscar with his name, he'll probably think that's cool.

ill keep updating with pics when the water clears as just cleaned them out and its a tad cloudy at min. there crazy now they where staying round the top for ages chasing the bubbles but now theyve gone back to swinging around normaly. heaters now off the side as they keep pulling it off pesky fish

and its a female charecter from heavenly sword for the ps3 i got kai from as in pronounce kye if that makes sence hha
