Some of you may have seen the other day i asked about changing our cold water tank
to house our 3 chocolate cichlids who were growing rather large for our ordinary tropical tank, so last night did the swop and decided best to go and get a new canister filter,
to go with the tetrac so bought a fluval 405,
The chocolates look a bit lost in the tank (100 gallon) so saw 2 parrot fish that were similar size, and thought now was the time to introduce them while all fish were getting used to new tank, then on the way home remembered we need some more pellets, so called at another place and saw and fell in love with two more baby oscars
www.flickr.com/photos/9349576@N04/with/4330476371/
so now means in about a year maybe less it will mean another upgrade,
not sure about the combination, 3 chocolate cichlids, 2 parrot fish and 2 oscars,
but hopefully as all new to the new tank they will get along ok for a good while,
photos of the parrot not so good as both hiding at the moment, did notice before 1 of the oscars and 1 parrot were swimming up and down together for ages, hopefully good sign

You will definately need an upgrade with all those fish!!!! Nice looking oscars! This is the main reason why i nver go in the fish section of a LFS. I go in, get whatever i need (usually food), pay then out. If i looked at the fish i would end up either buying or wanting and then looking for a new tank. My g-friend just wont have anymore!!!!

yep thats is DEFFO' it now, luckily we have the other two tropical tanks to do some moving about if any problems occur, but they are all mostly community fish,
luckily we now have plenty of filters so an upgrade is just going to be tank, JUST lol

Nice fish!
Is the pleco still around?
It looks big.

Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

sadly no, we bought it when we first put the oscars in their 150 gallon tank,
and the pair of them sulked good style for days lol
laying on the bottom, fins went back, and one of them started to go a really dull colour, so took the pleco back and decided never to give them any tank mates,
and like a pair of kids within hours they started to act normal again and within a few days the dull one started to brighten again,
so they got there own way

I had a skyline bfore that, got that standard and took that to over 400bhp quite easily..
now got a jag xk8 soft top, only 290bhp but a lovely car, done a lot to it but not engine wise..
sorry to hijack your thread..

no problem Tony man after my own heart lol,
i was seriously into jap' sports and bought a "few" from an import auction,
skyline, soarer,(now they are a beast) supra, GTO etc,
we used to travel the country for car auctions, see your in Hull, i think the closest was Brighouse, then when everyone started to latch onto the imports, slowed it right down, and looking at the state of the car market we got out at the right time.
I LOVE the xk8 and is probably the only one i havn't had, my wife has a cayenne and its getting silly silly to run it (ie £150 a week on petrol as silly short journeys)
so have looked at a few xk8's and im sure she will love one, i used to do accident damaged stuff but again backside has fell out of it, and my days of messing with cars and computerised stuff is over
I think very soon the cayenne will be going so i shall remember to ask your advice

lol.. if you wanna look around mine its up for sale come march / april.. I have a new project, an old opel manta gte (dont laugh) lol... its my boyhood dream and I found one in ok condition with a mint interior, so that'll be at the shows with me this year... I've had the Jag for 3 years, its had 2 services and done 5k miles in this time...
its got a stainless cat back exhaust, had ALL the known engine defaults sorted (cam chain tensioners, chains etc) plus its had new alloys and the ugly front end sorted...
I also do custom carbon, so the interior is unique, all carbon dash and other bits, plus the engine cover and slam panel cover above the rad...
its a convertible and is so refined, i get 20 to the gallon round town, but you can get 28 on a run...
anyway, if you want to chat more let me know, pm me and i'll send you my phone number.. I know what these are worth and I also know you never got your money back for mods, so I'm not after stupid money...
i organise a local car show, you should pop down, 29th August in Hull..

I will honestly keep it in mind Tony
the manta brings back memories, i bought the wife one before she passed her test,
the days when learners didn't need a mortgage to get insurance lol,
and she burnt the clutch out in ONE day when i was out at work, "i was trying the gears" was her words lol, a classic case of riding the clutch,
and she never ever did pass her test in a manual lol, so most of our cars are now auto', not that i mind as i do prefer them nowdays.

no worries re: the jag, when its up for sale i'll give you a shout and if you wanna take a look we can sort something out..
