Well I ended up rescuing this little guy tonight...gonna go get a nicer little tank for him...got him from some guy at work (it wasn't his but rather someone he knew and the guy said I could take him).

Was in the bowl with only about 1.5" of water and you couldn't even see the betta in it cuz the water was so awful...cleaned up the bowl and put some good water in it from my 90 gallon and he's already starting to show more color...my wife named him Duke! haha!

Those folks can be glad we hate to see fish suffer.
I got several guppies who were gonna get flushed by the owner.
Bad water, fish totally shy.
Gave them a new planted tank, started spoiling them and mixed with some of my own Gupps.
Not they go crazy if i come around and they love the interaction.
They learn so fast when an environment is healthy.
Now they are bold and it's only been some weeks since i got them.

Haha yeah its a tiny little rescue but my wife wanted a betta fish so at least she is happy now! haha! He looks a lot better this morning and has more coloration coming back...and I was glad to see that he ate something as well!
