As I posted before... I have purchased one FINAL Pleco.. last try with this. He is a common Pleco about 10" in length. He has made a mess of the tank and this time I don't mean poop. I thought the O's rearranged the sand!!!

When I went to bed tank was "pretty" with level sand and my rocks showing. This morning there are 2 distinct craters! Front right and rear left of tank. You can barely see the rocks on the far left.

Red and Piglet watching me from one of the craters.

The culprit... welcome the new pleco.

Preparing for feeding time.

Video's of feeding time:

I don't think you'll have to worry about your O's harming that Pleco.he's about twice their size. And in the fish world size matters.

congratz on the new monster.
Plecos do indeed roam around the bottom and rearrange stuff, allways looking for food.
Now he looks armoured enough, that spiny fella!
And your Oscars are FAST!
makes mine allmost look sluggish...
What video equipment to you use?
Looks excellent.

I bet the video looks crisp cos its not converted to jpg. I convert mine to jpg to make them smaller so I can film longer. loose alot of quality.

nice post Brooksie...thanks for sharing... have you seen how plecs
move the substrate????? they just stay in one place, wiggle strong
enough to everything and will make the tank cloudy for a while...
the act looks like as if they gonna bury themselves in the sand...

Hey Brooksie! I think this one should have enough size and armor to keep the O's away! Wish you the best of luck!

And I agree with a few of the posts above...very nice looking setup and O's!

I actually buried one of mine in the gravel after maintenance.
only his head and front fins were sticking out of the gravel.
He just wouldn't move until i was done.
Then it looks like he took a leaf-blower to blast all gravel out of his cave.
Incredible display of power.
