My Oscar fish tank before I make modifications this summer...
btw.. my fishes have become massive now.. almost 8 inches long... and fat!!!




let me know of ideas.. i was thinking to remove the driftwood..

I like the driftwood and i use it in my tank as a visual breaking point.
one other idea i like is hanging a piece of driftwood at the top of the tank.
I've done that myself and it creates a nice effect.
Man, your fish are getting big!
What mods were you thinking about yourself?

They certainly are. Like the lines of red to black on them. Are they out the same hatchery if thats what u call them...?

your tank and fish look great warlock. imo i wouldnt change anything.

@ askhammatt => by red you mean the copper oscar?? or the tiger oscar?? in real.. the tiger oscar is more reddish orange.. and the copper oscars are bright orange

@ JamieM => thnx bro... about the hatchery .. the tiger oscar and albino oscar are from the same hatchery.. and the 2 copper oscars are from the same hatchery.. and all in all they all gelled very well.. no fighting..

ok here is the plan... few things I thought...

- increase the sand level of the tank.. it seems a little low
- try and get some fake live stones.. and try and make a inside like penn's fish tank.. but a little different.. like i dont want that shaped driftwood.. but false live rock...

- try and fix the bubble wall pipe i got from my LFS
- or even try like a broken ship or sinking ship like this one from brichter04

- also wanna do something for my background... its too plain
- also changing my light

for background.. i read Noddy's method.. and saw a couple of youtube videos of ppl doing this.. but I am not so thrilled about making it a permanent solution.. and I dont wanna use cement in my tank


i am looking for one of those fake plastic or fiber type background.. with the whole rocky feel.. which i can easily add / remove from my tank
