You've seen some of my Oscar pics, here is a video of them. I originally edited the video to go with different audio but youtube wouldn't let me use it. So there is some random license-free song to go with it now Its an 850litre tank, which is 225 USgallons or 187 UKgallons just to confuse everyone

If you look at 2:55 it seems they enjoy watching V8 Supercar racing (Australian Touring cars) on TV

They're my two favorites aswell

Thanks
I guess you could do that.

The original music was Going Home by Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits.

I guess the tank looks big because its 30inches tall, I can tell you it was damn heavy when we were trying to get it in the house with 3 people.

That reminds me to write an article about moving big tanks, for there's a lot involved in moving big tanks indeed.
30" tall must be hard on maintenance.
I got a 2,5 foot high tank on a 4 foot stand and maintenance of that baby is not one of my favorite chores, i tell you.

My gravel vac is 2 feet long, and I invested in a little 2-step ladder from a hardware store.

Maintenance is a breeze, I run plastic hose tubing on the end of the gravel vac so the water runs out onto the lawn.

Having said that though I won't be looking forward to when the time comes I have to move it to say, another house.

They seem happy enough, and controlling nitrate levels weekly is easy.
They share the tank with a Pleco who makes a huge mess and is hardly seen out in the open and the 4 Silver Dollars.

I've been thinking about putting my G.Brasiliensis in with them as it's quite big now and maybe the Gold Severum, not sure how much they would affect the bioload of the tank (and even if the Oscars would allow new additions to their tank)

you don't get to choose with plecos...
I've got some that have been hiding for 3 years now.

I think moving homes is every big-fish-keepers nightmare.
Don't get me started. My next upgrade will probably involve moving to a bigger house...

I moved all of my tanks (with the help of a LOT of muscle) in Feb, to this house. LOL. My Husband and I are now looking to buy a house. You know what that means... Tank Moving AGAIN! LOL

I think I will lose some friends this time! LOL
