This is my new baby oscar in my 240 litre fluval tank.
sorry about poor images im not good with cameras and since taking these iv had a good look on the tips and tricks of fishtank photography on this forum and found it very helpfull so hopefully ill start to get some better images with a little practice

Its a simple set-up I know. I tried to go for function over decor and looks to make it a little easier and less time consuming cleaning it

Looks nice, I like white sand, it makes the tank looks nice and bright. The only drawback, it does show off the crap quite a lot, but you can't have it all your way

yeah sand looks awesome if its kept clean. and I think my oscar is going to enjoy a fair amount of landscaping in his time with it haha

oh and the couple of black lines on the sand in these photos are "coolie loaches" not sure how long they will last when the oscar has grown a bit but i had them first so i added small rock pile for them to hide in ....they love it

He is so cute and little!!! And Your tank looks nice! I too really like the white sand.

The fish in question noddy is a midnight catfish I believe. I picked it up a few years back at a petshop and they didn't even charge me for him as he looked really ropey and almost on the brink of death but now he has been a great little addition to many of my tanks

Yes, it is.
He came into the tank after the algae eater, but grew so fast in 2,5 months he finally ate the algae eater.
But my O is no baby anymore, at 11".
I like your catfish, is he full sized yet?

I'm not totally sure if he is fully grown. I hope so because I dont want to have to take him out...as the oscar takes priority and needs space

Ahh good stuff noddy I think he is close to that now but i have to remember I have the blue phantom as well but they dont grow very big either..just need to keep an eye on it I think.
