16 pound mirror carp on a match rod/very light tackle took 10 mins to land it =P today!!

beautiful fish, almost looks like a linear. I love using my match rod, so much better than a big stiff 2 1/2 pounds test curve

Wish i would have been there.
But then you'd most likely have passed out by the time you had a run, and i would have drilled that lovely fish.

Your college seems like a very cool place, allthough a private carppond would do my study no good...
And let me tell you i caught loads of carp, but this little fellow is the only mirror carp i ever caught in the 7 years i go fishing for carp.



Oh , and my wife caught one once at 2 inches, and she wanted to take it home and have an aquarium...



I'm very gratefull to this lil' carp, for it got me started out in the hobby and we all know where that led too.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

noddy I wish you was there mate I could have done with a smoke yesterday mate haha but that's another story...ill get some photos of my colleges aquatic centre at some point.....its pretty cool
