I don't know most of your chosen religions, nor do I care to, but can you pray to whichever God you choose to worship to watch over my friend Micah, and his family?
Micah was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in March. They thought it was slow-growing and benign, and he had surgery to have most of it removed. At his six-week checkup, they did an MRI and it had more than grown back and they discovered it was actually cancerous from a biopsy on the removed portion. He had another surgery where they again removed about 90% of it. Since then he has developed seizures, and his mental faculties are now that of a 12 year old (he's only a few months younger than me... I'm 23.) Anyway, he's on chemo and radiation now with a steroid and another medication for nausea, so he's comfortable and doesn't feel sick at all. Before his first surgery, they did a test for Huntington's disease, because it runs in his family. (His dad and aunt both have late stages of it, and his mother has MS and bad arthritis...) I talked to his mom today, and she told me the doctors think he has, at the most, 1-2 years left. I have cried all day about this! His family has been through so much as far as health problems go, and I just do not understand why this is happening to them now, as well.
Anyway, I know most of us on here are kind of like a close-knit family of sorts (even though I've been MIA all summer...) and I couldn't think of anyone else I would want more to keep my friend in their thoughts. I have my two grandmothers praying for him, and they have both added him to their churches' prayer lists. Can everyone on here who is religious do the same? Maybe I am selfish, but I want him to be cured, and I know his family feels the same way. His aunt is on her last leg with her Huntington's, and I don't know how they could handle two deaths in their family so relatively close together...
Like I said, I have been in tears all day since talking to his mom. I just can't wrap my head around all of this...
