I wish Rex Hunt would put fish back properly instead of chucking them up in the air. I just watched him throw two fish back in within two minutes. If the stress from catching them doesn't kill them, being thrown 5 feet in the air certainly well

When i was a kid i used to fish a lot. Someone told me the correct way to return a fish is to hold it upright in the water until it swam away

I loved fishing as a kid and returned the fish " in water upright as you say" but then I really started to love fish and took up diving so I could watch them in water, as they should be and not on land with hook in month.... Would you hook out your prize oscars:blush: I would use a net only if I really needed too.

I think fishing is controversial. They banned foxhunting over here which was a long time coming. I don't think they would ban fishing, it's a multi-million pound business here in the UK, if they banned it, there would be thousands upon thousands of people out of work.

if you do you catch fish, they must be treated with great care, not just thrown in, that can only cause damage
