I'm really disgusted with the way the press have been reporting Tom Daley's progress in the Olympics. From the first time I ever saw Tom being reported, he's always maintained that the Beijing 2008 Olympics are just for him to get some experience, not once have I heard him talk of winning a medal. The way the press have been reporting his progress, you would've thought that the gold medal was an absolute certainty. Today, him and his partner came last and boy do we know it by listening to all the media coverage. I haven't heard any more praise, in all fairness, they have just fell short of actually running him down but it's no more "wonderful Tom anymore"

Why cant they just listen to what he has been saying, he wasn't expecting a medal, why don't you take a little bit more notice of this you stupid ignorant people. It's not a disappointment, it's amazing that he got there in the first place, he is a 14-year-old boy, concentrate on that achievement.

And another thing, Tom wasn't the only person in that team, he did have a partner. I'm not surprised that Blake is a little bit fed up, he's been totally left out of all the hype.
