There is a dark side to this very popular website that probably passes many people by. Piscatorial cruelty, sick disgusting fish cruelty. To cut a long story short, people are videoing fish such as piranha and sharks whilst they eat alive perfectly healthy fish, in many cases, the Oscar fish. I am absolutely disgusted by this practice. I am even more disgusted that You Tube are allowing these videos to be uploaded. I am well aware that this is commonplace in the wild, however the fish in these videos have no chance whatsoever to escape what is always a gruesome and painful death I don't doubt. I am quite sure that if people started uploading videos of badger baiting, dogfighting, you tube would certainly have something to say. I don't see why fish are any different, there is absolutely no excuse to sacrifice perfectly healthy fish in such a gratuitous and gruesome way, and then film it for everybody to see. You tube will not allow videos that depict adults having sexual intercourse, but they will allow serious animal cruelty to be shown.
If you actually read some of the comments that are posted by people, you will see that rather than being a nice friendly place to go for a bit of fun, you tube is actually quite disturbing when you realise the sort of people that are using it.
