A lot of you will know that genuine printer ink is incredibly expensive. I just paid £21 for a colour cartridge for my Hewlett-Packard. I did take the old cartridge and got it exchanged for a refill. However, the colour wouldn't print. Does anyone know if Hewlett-Packard do this on purpose? I know that the printer knows when you are not putting in a genuine cartridge, however, in past with different printers, I haven't had a problem, the compatible cartridges have always worked. Having said that, I bought some for my Canon 865 and I can't get the black to work

I have tried "other" inks but gave up with same problems. Printer said it was empty when I knew it was full, poor colours, etc. now I have gone back to being ripped off with printer brand(Epson). The only thing I do now is get them at cosco as they are cheaper. i believe Dell are the worst.

I just looking on a website and to purchase a full set of genuine inks for my Canon printer will cost nearly £70. My Hewlett-Packard isn't so bad, I'm not sure how much the black ink is, but the colour is only £21 for the genuine article. I think I'm going to scrap my Canon printer.
