Dunno why I feel this should be a lengthy thread
if you are interested to know, Ben Wilson of the University of British Columbia, Lawrence Dill of Simon Fraser University [Canada], Robert Batty of the Scottish Association for Marine Science, Magnus Whalberg of the University of Aarhus [Denmark], and Hakan Westerberg of Sweden's National Board of Fisheries, made some research about fish farting, it seems hering fish use farting as a way of communication, researcher was awarded IgNobel (a comic prize for "research that makes you laugh then think" )
here's the study
www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0990744003000172

and here are the consecutive IgNobel winners list and their wonderful scientific achievements, to all asthmatic patients isn't it good to know that some dutch guys discovered that sending someone suffocating from asthma crisis in a roller coaster can be benefical ?

Well since you are interested in evolution and taxonomy, some guys are wondering "how to make family tree for clones ??" and they are seriously talking about it
Also a guy has studied evolution and the meat taste of creature should follow some evolution taxonomy.
According to the author a dinosaur should taste like chicken !!! you can use his tables to determine how would corydoras or plecos taste : :silly: :silly:

my uncle kept a tank at his parents' house when he was younger. Then he got married and went off, and left the tank for my grandfather. It had two LARGE plecos and two silver dollars in it... my grandfather didn't want to care for them. So he caught them, killed them, cleaned them, and cooked them.

He says that they taste like mud. The silver dollars more like hake, apparently.

(he also says koi tastes a lot like carp...go figure :silly: )
