So a few weekends ago my husband and I had to leave the beach early to make it back in time for a niece's birthday party and we got to thinking about how we are always having to go other family members kids birthday parties but we don't have any kids (and aren't planning any anytime soon) to have a party for.

So, we started joking that in Feb we're going to have a birthday party for Oliver and make all of our family come, they could bring tank decorations or food as presents, cash presents preferred

So, what do you all think? I think it would be cute, we could do an underwater theme, my husband jokes that we could do seafood or a catfish fry

i think that one day you will cringe at the thought!! by the way i was of the same opinion about kids until along came twin girls 5 years ago and let me tell you when you are blessed with children life has new meening in the most fantastic undescribable way imaginable it might sound dramatic but i bet everyone who has kids will agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they are a joy when you first seem them and when they are grown and go out and hang with friends...you pray they come home safe. Iam thankful Everytime..even when they ask for gas $

I know that kids are a blessing, I'm not saying I don't want kids ever, just not right now. My husband is still going to school, I'm about to lose my job and going back to school, applying to med school in 2 yrs. Kids just don't fit with that right now and it's aggravating when family always asks about it. His mom a few weeks ago actually thought we were having problems because I went on a road trip with friends, no problems, he just couldn't go because of school. She actually was telling him that we need to hurry up and have kids, that it would fix any problems! I'm sorry but if we were having problems having kids would make it worse! Sorry, just venting.

Mother-in-law's can be difficult, especially when you are married to their little boy. My mom is very protective over me, I empathise with you, I wouldn't like to be a woman having to deal with my husband's mother.
